Yesterday’s welcome announcement from the government gives the green light for summer camps to go ahead from this Monday. No more than 15 people should mix together – not an issue for our camps where numbers are already small. Also on our side is the fact that our camps take place entirely outdoors. Scientists have recognised from on early on that the risk of covid infection is lessened considerably in an outdoor environment.

It is still unclear whether children will need to be socially distant while at play and how this would work in practise. We are keeping an eye on developments and on what measures will need to be in place before running our camps.

Our August woodland camps are currently open for bookings through this website. Let’s hope that the reopening of Irish society can continue to move forward in the days and weeks ahead!
